Blogging has been a little neglected in recent years as I’ve had a lot of freelance jobs.
New domain, new Serendipity theme (“Ankaraner” – the one from Ankara) and new logo: the Ç was back.
The Turkish letter Ç used to be a running gag in my blog posts because I always made fun of the fact that Germans somehow don’t pronounce this letter in my surname correctly. It had become something of a trademark, so why shouldn’t I use it as a logo? Anyway, my old readers recognized the joke.
I also had a satire series running on the blog called “The Business Blogging Weeks”. For weeks on end, I took a wickedly sarcastic swipe at a new breed of bloggers who were starting to blog positively about companies’ products for money. They were the first influencers, so to speak, even before it became a trend on Instagram and the like.
Still, that was kind of the end of my blogging career. I blogged for a few more months, but that was it for a long time.
